Welcome back to an exciting new year at Senesh. We are kicking off 2018-19 with our keyword – GROWTH! We are thrilled to welcome 40 new families to our community and look forward to seeing everyone together in our hallways and classrooms in weeks to come.

Founded by neighborhood parents 24 years ago, Senesh is the home away from home for Jewish families and community members. We take pride in seeking meaning, building community, and learning joyfully.

A mosaic of diverse voices, the Senesh community celebrates Jewish values and traditions in an open, inclusive, and welcoming way. We find comfort in complexity and aren’t afraid to challenge our kids to investigate and question the world around us.

This coming year, Senesh looks to continue to guide our children to find their own Jewish paths and become confident community members who think deeply, develop their own ethical compasses, and are passionate leaders and doers.

For the past two weeks, more than 50 staff participated in diversity training, curriculum mapping, training in security protocols and drills, and collaborative planning time centered on social, and emotional development to create a healthy and respectful learning environment and community grounded in our school’s values.

Great to be back! I look forward to seeing you all at Back to School Night on September 13th and at our many fun events throughout the fall.

Best,

Nicole Nash
